French Press

A slower immersion cold brew recipe focused on texture, sweetness, and depth.

What you’ll need

  • French Press
  • 28g coffee
  • 300g water
  • Scale
  • Glass or pitcher
  • Freshly ground coffee

Recipe

28g coffee

300g water

12 hour infusion

Medium-coarse grind

Serving

1:1 dilution

Water or milk

Serve over ice

Method

Grind coffee medium-coarse and place the French Press on a scale before adding coffee.

Pour water slowly in concentric circles, fully saturating the coffee bed.

Stir gently several times to ensure even extraction.

Cover and allow the coffee to infuse for 12 hours.

Slowly plunge and transfer the concentrate into a separate vessel.

Serve diluted with equal parts water or milk over ice.
